Visiting the COSTAIN supply chain to discuss their performance at regular business to business (B2B) meetings is a regular occurrence for a supply chain manager. However it is always good to visit a supplier whose business is growing to such an extent they need to move to new premises as they have outgrown their old surroundings. The Water Sector supply chain team were invited to KIRK Environmental Ltd in Blackburn recently to see at first hand their new office and factory space.
“KIRK has been performing really well for us for a while now. They recently received a COSTAIN Blue report in Thames Water and we felt it important to thank them for their consistently high level of performance and the attitude and approach of their workforce”
said Steve Fozard, Head of COSTAIN Supply Chain: Water Sector.
The usual B2B meeting took place and was followed by a tour of the new facility, which at 60,000 sq. ft. is twice the size of their previous home.
Chris Roberts, COSTAIN Framework Director at Woolston, in Southampton commented
“Their performance on all aspects of their work was exemplary. Their attitude towards SHE matters was fully aligned with the Costain and 4D values and their workforce were a credit to them. They completed the work on schedule. Their work has remained defect free since completion.”
Andrew Peace, Managing Director of KIRK Environmental Ltd said
“Over that past 3 years COSTAIN have consistently been one of our major UK clients; therefore, it’s great for the whole team to have such an important customer take the time to recognise our performance. The B2B meetings with COSTAIN are an excellent opportunity to receive and give feedback on recent projects performance and also get first hand foresight on how we can continue to improve and develop our businesses together in the delivery of future projects throughout AMP 6 and beyond”
